Finance Department

The City Finance Department is run by Finance Clerk, Joy Cronin.  Joy started with the City on June 28th, 2007, and brought a wealth of new ideas and accounting experience to the position. 

Budget decisions are made by the City Council, acting on the recommendations of the City Budget Committee, which meets in a series of public meetings each spring to approve the next fiscal year's budget.  The fiscal year is July 1st through June 30th each year.  Copies of the budget documents are available below, or copies can be purchased for copying costs at City Hall.

Mill City 07/08 City Budget 12/3/2007
The City Council adopted a budget of $4,458,544 for fiscal year 2007/08. This budget includes the grant/loan for the sewer treatment plant and pump stations, a grant for improvements to Kimmel Park, funds for demolition of the Old Water Treatment Plant site and funds for all City staff. Copies of the complete budget, with notes,can be purchased or reviewed at City Hall.

Mill City Budget Message 2007 1/1/2007
Mill City Budget Message FY 2006-2007. The proposed City of Mill City budget for FY 2006-2007 is $ 2,388,219. The budget will stay within the property tax limitations in the Oregon Constitution and the limits imposed by Measure 50. Attached is the 2006-2007 budget.
